For the 175th anniversary of the Railway in Switzerland, ROCO presents the Re 10/10 team in an anniversary version as a special edition. The locomotives in green SBB paint were covered with decorative stripes and coats of arms.
For simplicity, the double traction of Re 4/4ˡˡ and Re 6/6 is referred to as Re 10/10. This name is derived from the ten driven axles that the double team has and therefore does not refer to a separate type of locomotive. The Re 10/10 are used by the SBB almost exclusively in front of heavy freight trains on the Gotthard route. The powerful double can handle the prescribed maximum load of 1,400 tons on the tow hook at 80 kilometers per hour on an incline of 26 per mille.
