Diesel locomotive SP 9001 "Origin" III
Novelty 2023: The new design from PIKO represents the first three locomotives delivered to the Southern Pacific Railway and perfectly reproduces their original condition on a scale of 1:87. The striking shape of the locomotive was perfectly transferred to the model and numerous attached parts, flush-mounted, crystal-clear slides and fine engravings demonstrate the highest level of attention to detail. The prototypical paintwork in gray and red as well as the razor-sharp printing round off the appearance of the model. The powerful motor, in combination with the perfectly balanced flywheels, ensures that the machine runs smoothly. The various lighting functions are designed using the latest LED technology and can easily be switched digitally using a suitable decoder. For easy retrofitting of the analog models, they have a PluX22 digital interface. The locomotives do not have an NEM coupling shaft.
