DE18 Diesel Vossloh VI
Novelty 2024: Modern diesel locomotives characterise everyday freight and shunting traffic. And of course the striking DE 18 from Vossloh should not be missing here. With this locomotive, the PIKO designers have once again succeeded in realising a prototype in H0 scale with flying colours. The result is a model that excellently reproduces the overall appearance and characteristics of the DE 18 and features a multitude of details, including extremely vivid engravings of the ventilation grilles and bogies with an outstanding visual depth effect. The powerful motor with two flywheels ensures smooth running and the tractive power is increased by two diagonally arranged traction tyres. In conjunction with a digital decoder, many prototypical lighting functions can be switched. The attractive drivers cab and drivers desk lighting is already a standard feature of new PIKO designs. A modern PluX22 interface is provided on the tidy circuit board for easy retrofitting of a decoder.
